Job Description
Responsibilities
- Create engaging and SEO-friendly content for various platforms, including website, blog posts, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), and email newsletters.
- Recommend changes to website construction, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
- Work closely within the marketing team to brainstorm ideas and craft beautifully worded content that is insightful, engaging and impactful.
- Develop creative and compelling content for social media marketing campaigns, including posts, captions, and graphics, to drive engagement and increase brand visibility.
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to generate ideas and produce high-quality content for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to develop content strategies and ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all social media channels.
- Edit and proofread social media content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximise the online visibility of a website in search results.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and content writing to optimize content performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field required.
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a content writer, including writing for social media platforms.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and strong research abilities.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and experience with content management systems (CMS) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
